“We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.”
– Native American Proverb

Having second generation family within the workforce at Gardner Engineering, we hold sustainability at our core. We endeavour to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible, sourcing as many of our products as possible from local suppliers, often doubling-up during our delivery/collection process, minimising the ‘production miles’ involved in the manufacturing procedure.

Specific Aims

As part of our commitment to protecting the environment and reducing waste, Gardner Engineering have adopted the following specific aims:

Our new product packaging is purchased solely from recycled sources, whilst any cardboard that comes from our suppliers is collected by a local firm (within 500metres!) who shred the material for their packaging and parcelling needs.

We seek suppliers who actively operate with sound environmental principles.

We work in partnership with a local recycling plant to ensure that all scrap metal material is taken away at the correct frequency and dealt with in a sustainable manner.

Gardner Engineering are moving towards a zero single-use plastic production, implementing the use of biodegradable plastic wrappings where the use of paper is impracticable or potentially detrimental to our product.

WE also encourage employees in our workforce to promote and establish recycling schemes that are relevant to their specific job roles.

We are committed to expanding our recycling policy and procedures for recycling all wastes materials at Garner Engineering and will continue to develop and implement them as market availability and technologies emerge.
